Desert Storm

Desert Storm began as a dream I had during a time that I was very stressed. I dreamt that I was creating this painting of a desert storm and I realised how symbolic it was.
It is intended to represent looking out onto the chaos that we put ourselves through; watching the storm coming and just sitting by while it builds. It’s almost too late and yet there’s still a glimmer of hope on the horizon. You’re already watching and aware. Maybe it’s not too late.
There is a deep cloud brewing on the horizon like it’s about to come by and collect everything in its path, there is scattered dust at the forefront like it’s hitting you and begging you to step in and help. There is a glimmer of light on the horizon representing hope and thick horizontal brush strokes to emphasize the spinning & changing directions.
